Dr. Kishinevsky on Breast Lift and
Breast Reduction Surgery
In this video, Dr. Kishinevsky explains how breast lift surgery restores roundness and fullness by reducing excess skin and repositioning the nipples to the center of the breast. She discusses the common reasons patients seek this procedure, including changes from pregnancy, weight loss, and aging, and describes her approach to achieving natural-looking results with minimal scarring. The surgery typically takes two and a half to three and a half hours on an outpatient basis, with patients returning to work within two to three weeks.

A Breast Lift Addresses a Range of Issues
Patients from Bridgeport, CT, and the surrounding communities visit Dr. Kishinevsky for breast lift surgery to address a variety of concerns:
Sagging Breasts
If you are unhappy with sagging in your bustline, you may benefit from a breast lift. If you also want to increase your breast size, a lift can be combined with breast augmentation for dramatic results.
Asymmetry
Typically, breasts are naturally asymmetrical to an extent. If this difference is especially noticeable, breast lift surgery can improve the balance between your breasts and create a rounder shape.
Sagging Nipples
If your nipples sit below the crease under your bustline or if they point downward, mastopexy can shift the nipples back to their proper position on the breast.
Oversized Areolas
If your areolas have become stretched or oversized, they can be adjusted and reduced during a breast lift for more flattering proportions.
What to Expect During Breast Lift Surgery
Dr. Kishinevsky has extensive training in the vertical short scar breast lift technique, which leaves only one discreet scar rather than the multiple large scars associated with other methods.
Breast Lift Recovery
Following a breast lift, most women are able to return to desk work within one to two weeks, and can usually resume exercise after about a month. Here is what to expect during your breast lift recovery:

Bruising, Swelling, and Discomfort
Bruising may last as long as a month after your breast lift, and the majority of swelling subsides within three to four weeks. Discomfort can be controlled with over-the-counter pain meds. Dr. Kishinevsky will advise that you relax and avoid serious physical exertion until she determines that you are ready. This does not mean your doctor will recommend you stay on the couch all day. A key action you can take to promote blood circulation and prevent blood clots is walking every day.

Follow-up Visits
It is important to maintain a regular schedule of follow-up visits at our Norwalk office so Dr. Kishinevsky can monitor your recovery. Of course, if you have any questions or concerns you want answered outside of an appointment, feel free to reach out.

Combine Procedures for Stunning Results
Breast Reduction
Many patients who get a breast lift also get a reduction to reach their aesthetic goals. The two procedures work together to reduce the size of larger busts and remove excess skin. Patients save time by combining treatments and only having to go through one recovery period.
Breast Augmentation
For women who are unsatisfied with the size, shape, and positioning of their breasts, we recommend combining breast lift surgery with breast implants for a complete transformation. We offer saline and silicone implants at our offices in Fairfield County.
